Our client, in the agriculture sector – is currently looking for a Talent Development Manager. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position. 

Purpose

To improve the requisite technical and general management competencies for staff members in line with the business requirements and strategy by providing the necessary talent development interventions as well as to implement sound organizational development initiatives through business process improvement, change management, and employee engagement. 

Duties:

  • Talent Management Strategy – Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Performance Management & Employee Engagement
  • Build and maintain effective business relationships with all key stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of the Talent Management Strategy
  • Leads the assessment of business processes and establishes fit between structure, people, and processes in line with the corporate vision, industry standards, and benchmarks for continuous improvement.
  • Designs and drives change management, business transformation programs, and implementation of organizational process engineering interventions to ensure timeous, smooth delivery of change processes.
  • Identify performance gaps and determine learning and development needs to meet current and future business needs.
  • Implement talent retention strategies to attract and retain Top Talent.
  • Collect and coordinate aggregate data for the talent pool and translate the data into insight through data analysis that drives deliberate action plans at appropriate levels.
  • Drives performance management cycles, KPI reviews, and designs productivity benchmarks that enhance business capacity utilization deliverables.
  • Champions and designs succession management plans, programs in line with critical skills job cover ratios, and talent gaps that enhance sustainability and business continuity.
  • Create organizational awareness on the performance management process, by communicating, educating, and informing key stakeholders on the Performance Management system, related processes, tools, and methodologies on an ongoing basis.
  • Analyze the learning results from Online Testing and Development programs to ensure that there is a high retention of learned material.
  • Conducts post-course implementation commitment interviews for Development Programs to isolate the effects and establish the value generated through Development Programs
  • Responsible for facilitating all Technical, Health & Safety Training and identifying suitable Service Providers i.e Chemical Handling, Gas Cylinder Training, First Aid Training, etc.
  • Conducting a Training Needs Analysis in consultation with the Line Managers
  • Identify Training and Development needs by making use of individual development plans (IDPs)
  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis with HOD’s from time to time. 

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Social Science/Human Resources Management Degree

·        IPMZ and or other relevant regional/international Talent Management certifications will be an added advantage.

·        At least 5 years’ experience in a similar or related environment, with a minimum of 4 years in a management position.

·        Proven ability to plan & successfully execute Organizational Development plans/interventions.

·        Strong and proven interpersonal skills and ability to run end-to-end successful talent development programs and interventions.
