This role requires the workshop manager to operate on site at the Quarry operation.
You will assist with training and leadership across the artisan team.
You are expected to ensure the plant operation achieves the required monthly output of hours required by the fixed plant and mobile equipment to achieve customer requirements. The operation uses compressors, front end loaders and excavators, ready mix trucks and other mobile equipment. Systems would need to be put in place for servicing and repairs. The position works closely with the Plant Operations Manager.
This role would suit a senior person operating at workshop management level with diesel plant fitting or alike background with significant experience across mobile and fixed equipment. You must have experience in planned maintenance with hands on experience to assist the technical artisan team.
You must lead from the front and be active on site whereby a mining or quarry background would be ideal.
The role reports to the General Manager.
The quarry operates modern and older equipment.
You should have experience in setting up policies and procedures with parts and stores management.
