Our client, a leader in drilling and exploration operations within the mining sector, is looking to appoint a Site Supervisor for their drilling projects. We invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill this position.
Role:
As a Site Supervisor, your main responsibility will be to supervise and manage drilling operations. You will be in charge of coordinating drilling activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and monitoring the progress of drilling projects. You will work closely with drilling teams and contractors to troubleshoot any issues that may arise during drilling operations
Responsibilities:
- Site Preparation
- Ensuring the efficient execution of drilling activities
- Building an effective operational management process for:
- Safety, Health and Environmental Management
- Assisting with preventive mechanical maintenance and effective supply chain management
- Ensuring continuous improvement of business and operational management standards
- Ensuring the safety of the drilling operation
- Ensuring that all daily drilling reports are submitted to the Operations Manager daily.
- Attending all site meetings with clients.
- Continuously monitoring the fuel consumption of rigs and tractors and reporting any abnormal usage to the Operations Manager.
- Supervising the maintenance work of drilling-related equipment in accordance with company procedures.
Experience and Skills:
- 5-10 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within the drilling industry.
- Extensive experience in drilling operations, with a strong knowledge of drilling techniques, equipment, and safety practices
- Ability to manage budgets and schedules
- Ability to build and lead a strong team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
