Our client in the Construction industry is seeking a highly organised and technically proficient Senior Project Engineer to lead the planning, resourcing, and technical execution of their diverse civil engineering portfolio. The successful candidate will be a multitasking expert, capable of providing high level supervision across three or more active sites simultaneously, including high rise developments, road construction, and complex structural projects.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all engineering activities meet rigorous ISO quality standards and are delivered within strict timelines and budgets
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Strategic Project Oversight: Prepare, schedule, and coordinate technical engineering projects, ensuring all activities align with the master project plan.
- Multi Site Supervision: Provide leadership and daily technical direction for three or more sites, maintaining a high level of accuracy and safety across different geographic locations.
- Specialised Technical Execution: Oversee the structural integrity of high rise buildings and manage the specialised logistics of road construction and infrastructure works.
- ISO Compliance & Quality Control: Establish and enforce inspection criteria to ensure implementation meets ISO certification standards and all applicable building codes.
- Client & Stakeholder Management: Translate client requirements into actionable tasks and provide regular updates on project milestones, budgets, and technical hurdles.
- Resource & Budget Optimisation: Resolve discrepancies in plans or budgets and work with third party contractors to develop viable, cost effective working practices.
- Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify potential structural or logistical bottlenecks; develop and implement engineering solutions to maintain project flow.
- Team Leadership: Lead site teams through frequent technical briefings to ensure morale remains high and daily safety/production targets are met.
Professional Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised institution.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 certification is required.
- Proven experience or certification in ISO 9001/14001/45001 Management Systems.
- A valid professional engineering license (Pr. Eng or equivalent).
- Minimum of 6–8 years of field experience, specifically in high-rise buildings, structural engineering, and road construction.
- Advanced proficiency in CAD, Civil 3D, and project scheduling software (MS Project or Primavera P6).
