Properties Officer

Our client, a leader in the construction industry, is seeking a Properties Officer to join their Group.

Main Duties:

  • Conduct pre-feasibility assessments and contribute to business case development for new property projects.
  • Coordinate project design, municipal approvals, budgeting, and construction timelines.
  • Manage relationships with architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, and contractors.
  • Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with local authority and environmental standards.
  • Report on development milestones, risks, and budget variances to the General Manager.
  • Ensure full compliance with local regulations and lease terms.
  • Supervise day-to-day operations, cleaning, and maintenance of the Head Office and other properties.
  • Ensure regular preventive maintenance on all facilities.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to tenant maintenance issues.
  • Monitor service provider contracts for performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct property inspections and manage associated risk registers.
  • Assist in preparing property budgets and cost control.
  • Maintain accurate property documentation, service records, and lease agreements.
  • Track property expenditure and ensure financial accountability.
  • Liaise with tenants, service providers, and local authorities.
  • Work closely with finance, procurement, and legal departments on property issues.
  • Represent the company in property-related meetings or negotiation

Academic Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Property Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant certifications in property management or project management are an advantage.

Skills & Experience Required:

Experience:

  • Minimum 3–5 years in property development, facilities management, or real estate.
  • Proven experience in construction projects, tenant relations, and property maintenance.
  • Demonstrated ability in budgeting, financial tracking, and contract management for properties.
