Our client is a leading Mining House, seeking a self-motivated person to fill the above position. Based at the Mine Operation – 100 km from Harare.

Responsibilities:
- Preparing the mine’s month-end management accounts reports and financial commentaries in line with the reporting standards and company guidelines.
- Providing financial analysis of key operational drivers, coordinating cost reduction projects, and providing monthly variance analysis commentary.
- Overseeing the operations of the inventory department ensuring that sound and effective inventory management controls are in place to prevent and detect misappropriations of inventory items.
- Providing financial support and advisory to other line managers as well as consolidating annual budget inputs from line managers.
- Ensuring compliance with statutory and taxation requirements through the preparation of schedules and supporting documents and submission to Head Office timely.
- Maintaining fixed asset registers as well as capital expenditure budgets.
- Managing the industrial relations climate as well as departmental SHE issues.
- Ensuring that petty cash management, supplier, and intercompany reconciliations are done in an accurate and complete manner.
Qualifications, Technical Skills & Knowledge
- CA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional qualification
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
- Experience in financial modeling and costing
- Experience in handling the requirements of internal and external stakeholders credibly within a changing environment.
- Experience in working within a project team and ensuring delivery targets are met on time and within budget.
