This senior role is open to applicants currently working within the mining sector.
The position is offered due to retirement of current incumbent.
The role reports to the General Manager and supports the daily operation of the Mine which employs over 600 personnel.
You shall join the management team at the Mine operation but also work at the corporate Head Office when required.
The department is support by excellent HR skills to ensure the traditional function, services and duties are achieved to meet the highest HR standards required.
You shall be expected to lead the human resources department in all services, planning and output deliverables required for the Mine to operate at its optimum level.
The Mine is successful and attracts highly skilled and well-trained personnel across all mining function with a reputation for its market position in a competitive sector.
You will naturally be well qualified with a post graduate qualification in human resources management.
A good understanding of labour law would be a distinct advantage.
Ideally you should be under 45 years of age and have achieved adequate HR training over many years in renowned mining operations which deliver on best HR practice.
You must be a good communicator to support the various divisions and personnel operating above and underground with knowledge of SHE programs.
The role is demanding and requires some travel.
