A leading gold mining operation is seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer (COO) to provide strategic and operational leadership across its mining operations.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record in gold mining operations, with responsibility for driving production, safety, operational efficiency, cost control and continuous improvement.
Key Requirements
- Senior leadership experience within the gold mining sector
- Proven responsibility for multi-disciplinary mining operations
- Strong commercial, operational and financial management capability
- Demonstrated delivery of production, cost and safety targets
- Sound understanding of underground and/or open-pit mining
- Strong leadership, people management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Relevant tertiary qualification: mining/engineering qualification preferred
- Minimum 15 years’ mining experience, with significant leadership senior management exposure.
