Our client is looking for a technically strong Engineering Maintenance Planner to join its Engineering Department and play a key role in ensuring maintenance work is properly planned, resourced and delivered on time.
THE ROLE
You will develop detailed maintenance work plans, coordinate resources and spares, manage CMMS work orders and help drive plant reliability, availability, and maintenance performance.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Plan and package maintenance and project work from scope through execution
- Develop work instructions, labour estimates, materials, and tooling requirements
- Coordinate maintenance windows with Operations, Procurement and Contractors
- Manage work orders, equipment history and asset data through the CMMS
- Coordinate spares and ensure work is fully kitted before execution
- Monitor maintenance KPIs and drive reliability and availability improvements
- Inspect maintenance and construction work for compliance with specifications and regulations
- Verify equipment, piping and materials against contracts and specifications
- Ensure SOPs, permits and JSAs are incorporated into work packages
- Prepare technical and progress reports for the Resident Engineer
YOU SHOULD HAVE:
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management
- CMMS certification – required
- 3–5 years’ relevant field experience in mining, heavy industry or manufacturing
- Proven maintenance planning experience across multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of CMMS/EAM systems and MS Project or Primavera P6
- Strong technical reporting and specification interpretation skills
- Excellent Excel, Word and PowerPoint capability
- Strong analytical, organisational and prioritisation skills
This is a hands-on planning role.
