Security Manager – Large Manufacturing FMCG Group – Bulawayo Based.

A leading organisation is seeking an experienced, forward-thinking Security Manager to take responsibility for the organisation’s security, loss-control, and risk-management environment.

This is an opportunity for a hands-on security professional and strategic thinker who can assess existing security systems, identify vulnerabilities, and modernise security controls across all company premises.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing, implementing, and continuously reviewing comprehensive security policies, procedures, and programmes.
  • Conducting security risk assessments and identifying vulnerabilities across all premises and operations.
  • Leading, managing, and developing security and loss-control teams.
  • Overseeing security investigations, incident management, and preventative security measures.
  • Reviewing and modernising existing physical security controls, access control systems, surveillance, and security procedures.
  • Driving the effective use of CCTV, technology, AI-enabled security solutions, and other modern security systems.
  • Advising management on emerging security threats, risks, and appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Ensuring security standards are consistently applied across all company locations.
  • Working closely with management, employees, law-enforcement agencies, and external security providers where required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Diploma or Degree in Security Management, Safety, Loss Control, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years’ relevant experience in security management, preferably within a corporate, industrial, mining, manufacturing, or commercial environment.
  • Alternatively, candidates from a law-enforcement background with strong practical knowledge of security principles, investigations and risk management will be considered.
  • A proven track record in developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and programmes.
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to lead, motivate and develop security teams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and advisory skills, with the confidence to engage at all levels of the organisation.
  • Proven competence in security assessments, investigations, and risk mitigation.
  • Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • A clean Class 4 driver’s licence.
