The role reports to Finance Head and plays a significant role in the finance management team at Head Office. 

The purpose of this role is to lead the optimisation, standardisation, and integration of accounting systems and financial business processes across the mining  operations and divisions ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong cost control, compliance, and decision-ready management information aligned with corporate and statutory requirements. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Management Accounting or Business.
  • Postgraduate qualification (MBA or MSc) in Operations Management, Business Administration, or Systems Engineering is a strong added advantage.

Professional qualification in the following is required:

  • CA(Z)
  • ACCA
  • CIMA
  • CPA
  • Training in ERP systems, process improvement, or project management.

Experience 

  • 10 Years’ experience in mining or heavy industry, 5 of which should be at management level.
  • Proven experience in accounting systems, cost accounting, and business process improvement.
  • Experience in risk management and compliance audits.
  • Strong understanding of PGM mining cost structures.
