This important role requires an experienced and well-organized person to ensure the Franchise Dealership operates to maximum efficiency and standards to capitalise its output and quality to customers experiences and exceed their expectations.   

You must retain experience to control the throughput and job allocation of service and repairs effectively and efficiently for this very busy and respected franchise.   

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Daily opening of the workshop, ensuring that all vehicles are repositioned in good time, allowing the repairs and servicing of vehicle to commence at the start of business.
  • Ensuring that all repairs and services are carried out in accordance with the Manufacturers recommendation
  • Assist Service Advisors with the diagnosis of vehicles with the customer upon booking.
  • Creating and maintaining a good safe work environment.
  • Monitor and assist, when required, Quality Control of finished jobs.
  • Allocation and monitoring of job cards.
  • Updating Service Advisors as to status of vehicle
  • Parts and job card management for finance invoicing
  • Mechanic time allocation to vehicle repairs
  • Audit checks on technicians’ tools and special tools.
  • Communicate with the Parts department for any outwork.
  • Actively track and monitor company target hours, technician target hours and report back to GM
  • Communicate with customers with regards to additional work required – customer care.
  • Evaluating and monitoring the performance of employees in workshops.
  • Implementing the cultivation and training of personnel.
  • Marketing of the Service Department and enhancing Customer Relations.
  • Attending to any Customer Complaints and ensuring their speedy resolution.
  • Analysis of Repeat Work and implementation of procedures to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Implementing Service Standard Operating Procedures for the Service Department.
  • Conducting evaluation of the Service Procedures and establishing activities directed at the improvement of Service Operations.
  • Determining tool and equipment requirements for the Service Department and maintenance of such.
  • Analysis of technician productivity and efficiency and establishing activities for improvement if required.
  • Analysis of Service Centre Bay Usage and establishing activities for improvement if required.
  • Conducting warranty as per the manufacturer’s warranty policy and procedures.
  • Compiling reports as required internally and by the Manufacturer
  • Admin duties as required to ensure workshops operation to maximum hours sold. 

This role requires a seasoned person from the motor trade capable of handling a busy vehicle franchise as the top performer in its class.

You must retain the recognised training and ability with a personality and style to work closely with clients – MD and GM and the internal team to achieve the standards required.
