Our prestigious mining client seeks to hire a training manager to support the HR services division of the organization.
This newly created position reports to the Group HR Head and is based at Head Office, although much of the time shall be spent at the Mines.
As the pioneer in this newly created role, you will be instrumental in setting up the training division, shaping the skills training landscape across the mining professions and services. The Mines are committed to increasing the recruitment of graduate students for their training program, and you will be entrusted with ensuring the success of the program in developing future talent for the company and the mining sector at large.
This role is for an enthusiastic training specialist or human resources practitioner, someone who is keen to direct and implement a new overall training program scheme. We’re looking for someone who is not just qualified, but also passionate about making a difference.
- Formulating a training and development strategy for the organization
- Carrying out Training needs analysis from Performance reviews, Personal development plans and position competence matrices
- Developing training and development course materials based on the talent development needs
- Delivering and overseeing the delivery of Training to employees across technical and soft skill requirements
- Identifying suitable venues for various training programs.
- Reporting on monthly training and development statistics.
- Conducting post-course evaluation for all training programs and assessing the return on investment
- Providing advisory role to line managers on staff training and development
- Conducting and coordinating induction programs for new employees
- Running the graduate training program.
- Developing the department with instruction from the Group HR Head.
- Other duties by training development programs
You must hold a recognized first degree and post qualifying qualifications to assume this management position. You must naturally have the energy, flair, training management and background career experience, preferably from the mining, manufacturing, or heavy industry sector – to apply for this role.
