The role reports to the Finance Reporting Manager
Roles and responsibilities for this position include:
- Ensuring that foreign and local creditors are paid in accordance with contractual terms
- Ensuring recovery of accounts receivable in accordance with contractual terms
- Maintaining an effective credit control system
- Maintaining accurate creditor and banking ledgers, through ensuring timely preparation and review of relevant reconciliations among other controls
- Providing leadership and supervision of staff in the creditors and banking sections.
- Ensuring the implementation and maintenance of effective and efficient internal controls within the department.
- Preparation of relevant reports within the Treasury section.
- Attending to auditors and resolving audit queries.
Applicants for this position should have the following qualifications and attributes:
- A Chartered Accountant TOPP/TIPP
- Training with wide exposure
- Post qualifying experience in related role will be added advantage
- Knowledge of SAP will be an added advantage
- Good analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities
- Pro-active individual who is able to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
