The position reports to the Strategy & Optimisation Manager
The Strategy Analyst supports the country-level strategic agenda by delivering data-driven insights, conducting rigorous market and internal analysis, and preparing high-impact strategic materials. This role plays a key part in identifying growth opportunities, supporting business case development, and tracking the implementation of key strategic initiatives. Working closely with the Strategy & Optimisation Manager, the incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that country-level business activities are aligned with long-term strategy and performance targets.
Strategic Analysis & Insight
- Conducts industry, market, and competitor analysis to identify strategic opportunities and risks.
- Analyses internal performance and capability gaps against strategic objectives.
- Assesses trends across customer behaviour, pricing, product, and supply chain data.
Strategy & Business Planning Support
- Contributes to the annual and long-term strategic planning processes.
- Supports the development and refinement of strategic plans at a business unit level.
- Assists in aligning operational plans with strategic goals through data and scenario modelling.
Business Case & Financial Analysis
- Develops and supports business cases for new initiatives, capital projects, and optimisation efforts.
- Builds basic financial models and assists in valuations for strategic recommendations. Performance Monitoring & KPI Tracking
- Defines, tracks, and reports on KPIs for strategic initiatives.
- Monitors progress of transformation and optimisation projects, flagging risks or deviations.
Communication & Presentation
- Prepares presentation materials and strategic reports for use by the MD and Exco.
- Summarises complex insights clearly and concisely for decision-making audiences.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Works with cross-functional teams (Finance, Ops, HR, Commercial) to collect and align strategic inputs.
- Supports the Strategy & Optimisation Manager in managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. consultants, advisors, analysts).
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in strategy, business analysis or corporate planning.
- Exposure to data analysis, market research, or financial modelling.
- Experience supporting senior teams in project delivery or strategic reviews.
- Previous exposure to multi-country or emerging market operations is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Financial acumen and basic modelling capability.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- High attention to detail and structured problem-solving.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to manage multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
