Shared Services Manager (Operations) – Mining Sector – Newly Created Role – Mine Site

Our client seeks to appointment a capable and qualified Shared Services Manager to support the General Manager at the Mine. 

The main purpose of the job is to provide leadership to the Support Services department and to support the General Manager as directed. 

The job ensures that targets for resources exploitation, capital management, cost control, Human Resources Management & Development and corporate governance are achieved. 

We seek a professional Administrator with a strong generalist background from finance or business management to oversee and manage the following departments which is the support backbone of the Mine outside its technical matters. Current or previous mine sector experience is desired. 

You are expected to be the buffer and liaison person between each service function and the GM.

You are also expected to drive each function individually and report back to the GM on all operational matters to ensure the non-technical functions deliver for maximum output.   

The following person shall report into this role; 

  • HR Manager
  • Security Management
  • Site Coordinator
  • Stores Manager
  • Chief Buyer – Supply chain
  • Mine Accountant
  • IT Administrator
  • Corporate Social Responsibility Manager 

As you are expected to drive and monitor the departments a senior management understanding of these functions is a priority.
