Our client is a leading provider of medical aid solutions. They seek to appoint a Senior State Registered Nurse; applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to fill the position.
The incumbent will report directly to the Medical Doctor and will perform the following duties, among others:
- Conducts patient assessments and reviews medical histories.
- Assists with in-office procedures and examinations.
- Educates patients about their health conditions and guides self-care.
- Collaborates with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient records and clinical documentation.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives and ensures adherence to clinical protocols.
- Provides support and guidance to patients and their families throughout the care process.
- Review patient applications, claims, and diagnoses.
- Case management.
- Liaising with other medical professionals.
- Assisting with emergency medical cases including evacuations.
Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies
- Degree or Diploma in Nursing or equivalent qualifications.
- Valid nursing license from the relevant authorities in Zimbabwe.
- Certification in family medicine or relevant specialty is an added advantage.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in primary care or similar clinical settings.
- Strong knowledge of medical technology, patient assessment, and nursing interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems and computers.
