Role:
The ideal candidate will spearhead business growth, drive market expansion, and strengthen customer relationships across mining, agriculture, manufacturing, construction, automotive, and borehole drilling sectors. This role requires a self-driven leader with strong technical sales acumen, proven industry networks, and the ability to design and implement robust sales and marketing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
- Drive revenue growth by identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities within target industries.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships with mines, contractors, OEMs, agricultural companies, and other key stakeholders.
- Negotiate and close high-value contracts and tenders.
Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Design and execute marketing strategies that align with the company growth objectives.
- Oversee branding, product positioning, and promotional activities (digital, print, exhibitions, trade shows).
- Conduct competitor and market analysis to refine strategies.
Client & Market Management
- Maintain deep understanding of customer needs and industry trends.
- Develop key account management systems and ensure client satisfaction.
- Create and maintain a customer database with measurable sales pipeline metrics.
Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Provide sales forecasts, market intelligence, and performance reports to management.
- Train and mentor junior sales staff.
Financial & Strategic Impact
- Meet or exceed sales targets, gross margin expectations, and growth objectives.
- Assist in setting pricing strategies and commercial terms to maximize profitability.
- Develop innovative customer value propositions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Management, Engineering, Mining, or a related field
- A postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent) is an added advantage.
- Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in Sales & Marketing within mining supplies, engineering, or related industrial sectors.
- Proven track record of business growth and delivering sales targets.
- Experience dealing with large corporate clients, mines, and government departments is essential.
Technical Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of mining consumables, engineering products, mechanical spares, or industrial equipment.
- Understanding of the procurement processes within mining and industrial companies.
