Our Client – Hotel and Tourism Group, seeks to appoint a Sales Manager.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position. 

You must have previous experience working in the hotel sector. 

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse market trends, identify target segments and create sales strategies to achieve revenue goals.
  • Build strong relationships with travel agents, tour operators, corporate clients, and wedding planners to secure bookings and generate referrals
  • Secure contracts with corporate clients, travel agencies, and tour operators to generate bookings and maximize room occupancy.
  • Spearheadthe formulation of packages for the benefit of the resort hotel
  • Workclosely with the Divisional Sales Manager and the Pricing Committee in reviewing and implementing hotel prices
  • Workwith the Regional and International operators for packaging the resort hotel
  • Address customer inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure guest satisfaction to build customer loyalty and encourage
  • repeat business.
  • Develop and manage the sales department’s budget effectively.
  • Plan and carry out familiarization trips for key business suppliers from within the Leisure market and travel trade industry.
  • Representthe Hotel in various events and exhibitions. 

Competencies:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Track sales performance metrics, generate reports, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ability to analyze sales data, identify trends, and use insights to inform decision-making.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • The ability to identify and resolve customer issues promptly and professionally.
  • Enhancerecruitment and growth for new accounts and attainment of sound, solid, and long-lasting customer 
  • Educate,train, and motivate Hotel teams on how to achieve revenue targets/goals. 

Qualification & Experience

  • Degreefrom an accredited university in Sales and Marketing,
  • Possess a professional qualification or be a member of a professional board eg IMM/CIM
  • 3to 4 years’ experience in Sales.
