This Zimbabwean registered charitable trust drives the vision of an Africa in which elephants and humans coexist in a balanced environment.
The Trust educates on the welfare of large elephant populations, expanding human communities and pressurized ecosystems to be better understood.
The team, overall playa a unique and active role promoting coexistence and conservation through their Community, Research, Education and Welfare programs.
The operation is Hwange and Victoria Falls based.
The Project Leader will be responsible for daily management of the activities and responsible for achieving the strategic goals of the Trust as set by the Board of Trustees.
The candidate shall need to be effective in the following duties,
Marketing – be able to effectively promote and attract more commercial participants in the program.
You must be able to effectively communicate and promote the strategic vision of the Trust and its programs and develop the profile of the Trust.
You must be driven to effectively promote the various existing programs and attract participants and donations.
Donations are driven from across the globe through many initiatives and existing programs and projects.
Finance – be able to effectively manage the finances of the Trust.
Leadership – able to effectively lead the organization in achieving its strategic goals.
Communication – able to effectively communicate the vision and goals with all stakeholders, participants, and supporters.
The candidate skills required are as follows.
You must be knowledgeable on elephant welfare, conservation and human elephant coexistence issues and debates, with an ability to analyse situations effectively and resolve solutions that work. You must be passionate about elephant conservation and the strategic goals of the Trust. You must be inspiring and able to communicate the story of the Trust to others and inspire them to give their support to the Trust. You should hold relevant qualifications in conservation with knowledge of elephant welfare.
