Tobacco Company is seeking interested and suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Processing & Logistics Coordinator.
The successful incumbent’s role is to best manage the Company’s Tobacco processing & logistics operations reporting directly to the Factory Director at HQ.
The skills required as follows;
Financial
- Drafting, implementing and reviewing of the departments’ operational costs & budgets
- Drawing up, implementation and review of the department’s capex projects and budgets
- Propose cost saving initiatives and implement and evaluate their effectiveness
Customer Focus
- Manage Customer relationships through customer manuals and requirements
- Assists in the management of third-party customer processing contracts
- Ensuring product conformance to customer specifications and samples
Internal Processes
- Reviewing of process flow efficiencies from receiving to shipping including time and motion studies, work measurement, data analysis and reporting techniques
- Ensuring correct and efficient utilisation of all equipment in various specified departments i.e., plant & machinery, transport and IT, both moveable and immovable
- Human resources forecasting, hiring, grievance and disciplinary handling in conjunction with the Human Resources department
- Reviewing of QC control data and reporting requirements
- Coordinate and implement new ICT systems that affect Factory operations
- Coordination of reporting to local, regional and corporate level management
- Ensures Health and Safety management systems are implemented correctly
- Ensures that quality management systems are implemented correctly.
- Management of water, energy, waste and environmental pollution reduction efforts
- Ensures that all related departments’ audits are completed on time and any non-conformities are addressed.
Learning and Growth
- Assists with the design, development, implementation and review of departmental process improvement plans and coordinate new projects
- Coordinate training, mentoring and performance in new processes
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of technological advances in the Factory and Logistics
Job Knowledge required
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, 18001 and 45001
- Experience with quality management audit preparation and coordination
- Knowledge of quality control systems

Qualifications & Experience
- First degree in Production Engineering, at 2.1 level or better
- MBA a distinct advantage
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Tobacco processing factory in a multi-national organisation is distinct advantage
- Below the age of 50
- Procurement and logistics management an added advantage.
