The Mine operation is based in Kwekwe area – alluvial mining of chromite for the special alloy and stainless-steel industry
The role is based at the Mine operation and reports to the Head of Supply at Head Office.
You should be a supply chain and logistics expert with mine purchasing experience implementing cost-effective purchases of all goods and services.
- Developing procurement strategies inline with market conditions
- Sourcing and engaging reliable suppliers and vendors in and outside of Zimbabwe
- Negotiating with suppliers and vendors adequate terms of goods and services
- Reviewing existing contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure compliance and best prices and delivery.
- Maintaining minimal risk after approval of purchase orders and organizing and confirming delivery of goods and services in an ethical manner
- Ensure risk assessments on potential contracts and agreements are carried out to ensure compliance with tracking and delivery.
This challenging role requires a competent manager with relevant experience required at senior level.
