To be considered;

  • You may or may not already hold an active non-Executive Director role and seek added responsibility (preferably sitting on no more than two Boards).
  • You may be an active former Director who has recently retired from a senior role of a respected employer.
  • You may be part of the “new generation leadership over 40” with an impeccable business track record seeking recognition for services rendered to Zimbabwe operating today at Director Level.

Overall and above all your pedigree, reputation and integrity must be beyond reproach.

You are expected to work with fellow Directors to set strategic aims, ensuring these are delivered through holding executive directors to account and that public and stakeholder confidence in the organisation is enhanced and boost value. A selected Non-executive director is expected to focus on board matters and not stray into ‘executive direction,’ thus providing an independent view of the company that is removed from day-to-day running of the group.

Provide independent judgement and advice, working with colleagues to provide inspiring leadership within a framework of effective controls which enables risks to be assessed and managed whilst ensuring the highest standards of probity.

Act as a strong Ambassador for the Company, upholding the values, engaging with stakeholders and management and others by bringing an independent perspective based on your experience to the work of the Board and its Sub Committees, including Chairing a Committee as assigned when required.
