Our client operates in the agricultural and supplies sector with a national branch network.
This new role requires the successful person to travel to their branch network for 2 – 3 weeks of the month and train their internal personnel on products and service charter to ensure their clients receive the best customer care and product knowledge required.
The role objectives include:
- To engage and resolve farmers and retailers’ requirements, by providing the necessary information and product or service.
- To achieve or surpass the sales objective of all products / product groups as set out in the annual budget.
The client provides products, services and information to livestock and poultry farmers from branches around Zimbabwe.
Customers engage their branches to assist when a specific issue or problem relating to their livestock or poultry.
These engagements require product service information to be supplied which will help the farmer resolve the issue in question.
Your role through training and by extension, therefore, is to ensure their service charter and product information is achieved at the highest level and standard for customers across the branch network.
To achieve the required change in the level of both the quality and uniformity of service all staff will require a fundamental change in paradigm and full practical implementation of skills.
You should be a retail training specialist with greater interest in developing and training skills across the agricultural sector with an ability to lead and train the branch personnel.
The role requires person to:
- understand what the company requires and what the goals and KPI’s are.
- Become very familiar with branch operations as they currently stand.
- Develop course work and SOP’s that will bridge the divide between where the branches are today and where they must get to.
- Follow up by on-site training by becoming embedded in each branch as a working trainer (part of the team) for periods of 1 – 2 weeks in the month.

Our client seeks a dynamic person to head their service and customer care training department at a senior level.
Your training and work experience should be across retail training development for internal personnel and outside customers with a technical ability to help farmers! You may have a background in nationwide retail management and be a keen trainer in this sector.
