We are looking for a self-motivated, results oriented professional with a proven track record of success in a senior managerial role preferably within a manufacturing environment to fill the role of Managing Executive. The Managing Executive will have full end to end responsibility for the financial and operating performance of the unit.
The key objectives are:
- Achieving the agreed profitability and return targets for the Business Unit.
- Driving the growth of the Food category and the consequential long-term financial performance of the Flour unit.
As Managing Executive your key responsibility areas are:
- Strategy: Developing the Business Unit strategy and overseeing the execution of the agreed action plans which flow from the strategy.
- Business Performance: Overall “ownership” and responsibility for the profitability and growth of the business unit.
- Financial Performance: Setting budgets and ensuring financial targets are met as per budget. Emphasis will be on profitability, deployment of capital and cash generation targets as well as any other metrics as agreed with the NF Board.
- People: Determining the BU’s organisational structure and building a high performing team which can deliver on the unit’s objectives at optimal cost.
To qualify for this role, you will require the following credentials:
- Exceptional commercial awareness and business acumen.
- Ability to understand the needs of the market, and to grow the portfolio into a broad set of offerings which meet these needs.
- Capability to lead the operations and procurement teams to competitively supply the market.
- Ability to lead a small expert team with empathy and passion.
