Our client an FMCG Holding Company seeks to appoint an Internal Auditor.
Role:
The Internal Auditor will join the group internal audit team which will be responsible for audits within the group.
Responsibilities:
The internal auditor will be responsible for;
- Coaching, training, and delegating work to junior staff where necessary.
- Assessing the standard operating procedures in place.
- Assessing the company’s risks and the efficacy of its risk management efforts.
- Ensuring that the organization is complying with relevant laws and statutes.
- Evaluating internal control and making recommendations on how to improve.
- Identifying shortfalls or gaps in processes.
- Promoting ethics and helping identify improper conduct
- Assuring safeguards
- Investigating fraud
- Communicating the findings and recommendations
Qualifications & Experience
- At least a 2.1-degree class in accounting from a recognized tertiary institute
- A postgraduate diploma in Accounting/Auditing
- A professional qualification is an added advantage
- At least 3 years’ experience in external or internal audits is an advantage.
