Our Client in the Telecoms sector is looking to fill the above position urgently.
Main Purpose
Under the direction of the Head of IT and the Group Information Security Officer, the Information Security Specialist is responsible for management processes associated with IT Risk Management, adherence to IT policies and controls, information and cyber security management, and IT Continuity Management that will result in:
Protection of the company’s information and its infrastructure from external or internal threats
Ensuring that the Group complies with statutory and regulatory requirements regarding information access, security, and privacy.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Sc. Computer Science/ Information Systems/ Business studies with Computing Science (or equivalent relevant degree)
- CISA/ CISSP or Recognised Information Security certification
- Network and Systems Administration background preferably in IT, Telecoms, or Financial Services Environment
- Information Security or IT Audit exposure
- Networks and Systems administration background
- A good understanding of the Information Security and IT Audit discipline
- IT Governance (e.g. COBIT)
- Service delivery and management frameworks (e.g. ITIL)
- Cyber security program implementation experience
- Experience with cyber security counter-measures and solutions, ideally in a telecommunications context
- Management of relationships with risk assurance providers (ERM, Internal and external auditors)
- Enterprise Risk assessments
