Corporate internal Insurance Specialist is required.
This role reports to the Group Legal Counsel at HQ.
The job is not based in Harare. Excellent living conditions are offered including housing – schooling and amenities to support living at Estate.
- Manages the annual onshore and offshore declarations for all policies for all Group companies in Zimbabwe.
- Arranges the review and declaration of critical Items of Plant values.
- Handles liability declarations to enable annual renewal of those policies, such as commercial crime.
- Prepares for cover notes to be issued and premiums to be paid.
- Submits the declarations, resolves queries and arranges renewal presentations.
- Prepares for annual premium payments for offshore policies and quarterly premium payments for onshore policies.
- Periodically registers claims, notifies brokers, completes claim forms, gathers, and submits supporting documents.
- Designs and implements an overall risk management process for the company, including an analysis of the financial impact on the company when risks occur.
- Analyses current risks and identifies potential risks that are affecting the company.
- Conducts risk policy and compliance audits, which will include liaising with internal and external auditors.
- Builds a risk awareness amongst staff by providing support and training within the company.
- Enforces adherence to Safety, Health and Environmental matters
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management /Business Studies/Finance/Economics or related field.
- 5 to 7 years’ experience in risk management and non-life insurance management.
- Strong risk management and general short term and Risk insurance knowledge.
- Highly developed communication.
