This role is open to persons working in Zimbabwe or in the Region or in South Africa.
It is open to Non and Nationals of any Country in the Region.
The role reports to the Chief Executive Officer and works closely with other members of the executive team.
This important role delivers and co-ordinates the execution projects approved by Board ultimately bringing their business case into successful existence.
This is done by proactively managing and directing the approved projects.
Strategic Function
- Prioritization across several work fronts to ensure best outcome for the business.
- Ongoing business case assessment during execution.
- Aligning project planning and expenditure with funding sources and availability.
- Ongoing identification and assessment of business opportunities within projects.
- Proactive Risk Management
- Using project control outputs to the time cost and quality risk identification and management process.
- Change Management processes
Fluency in Project Metrics
- Schedule, cost, quality, and ongoing business case assessment.
- Successful Integration Between Project Phases
- Feasibility study, execution engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning & ramp-up.
- Multidisciplinary Integration
- Earthworks, civils, structural, mechanical, platework, piping, electrical instrumentation, operational readiness
EDUCATION
- Undergraduate University Degree (Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management)
- Qualification in Project Management (PMI Project Management Professional, PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM)
EXPERIENCE
- At least 5 years multidisciplinary execution project management experience in the mining industry.
- Prior experience in a project support function such as controls, procurement, engineering, construction and operations
