This is a senior role for a gold mining operation and reports to CEO

You must have 15 – 20 years in open pit and underground mining.

Role Description

Seasoned mining engineer with technical and operational experience in both open pit and underground mining. This role will be head office based to oversee the health of mining operations within the group. It will be required to give operational support to mine sites and projects to do mine planning and design, identify and implement continues improvement projects and conduct technical improvement interventions. This role requires strong interpersonal skills as multi-disciplinary interaction service provision will be a key success factor.

  • Mine planning: Short, Medium and Long Term
  • Monitor health of mining operations
  • Establishing group mining and technical standards and operating procedures
  • Efficiency improvement projects
  • Contractor tender evaluation
  • Continuous improvement projects
  • Technical improvement projects
  • Mine to mill optimization

 

Qualifications

  • BEng Mining Engineering
  • MEng and or MBA
  • Mine Managers Certificate of Competency

 Experience 15 – 20 years
