This important management role oversees the IT department operations across the group to ensure business continuity is achieved at all times.
The role reports to the Group Chief Financial Officer and supports the management team across various sites.
The role requires an innovative and motivated individual who is capable and experienced to design, implement and support IT systems in conjunction with the organization’s management .
You shall also be responsible for the ongoing development of the IT strategy and roadmap, aligning it to the organization’s business strategy including the identification of emerging technologies to drive efficiencies across core business operations through digital transformation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1) Establish and develop the annual group IT strategy.
2) Management of key IT projects across the group.
3) Create, execute and ensure adherence to the group IT policies and procedures.
4) Development and maintaining of the group IT budget and adherence to the approved planned expenditure.
5) Design, implement and maintain a Disaster Recovery Plan for each of the business units.
6) Design, implement and maintain the HQ data centre and associated dependencies.
7) Design, implement and maintain backup system backups, audit trails and regular restoration tests.
8) Implementation and maintenance of IT security throughout the group.
9) Ensure licenses and SLAs are in place and maintained with various vendors across the group.
10) Ensure group IT staffing requirements are adequately met and appropriately skilled.
11) Ensure 98% uptime of IT services
12) Manage the group IT help desk and ensure customer satisfaction in relation to IT.
13) Provision, install/configure, monitor, and maintain all hardware and software/ database systems and related infrastructure such as physical and logical networks, servers, etc.
14) Ensure quarterly and annual maintenance/ servicing of all IT equipment.
15) Manage the IT stocks and supply chain within the Group.
16) Maintain software elements such as Anti-virus systems, network monitoring suites and operating systems updates.
17) Provide database support for Filemaker, SAP, Microsoft SQL and other associated software or databases.
18) Provide support for client devices/software and associated user problems, assigning work to junior staff members as appropriate.
19) Ensure continuous professional development of IT staff and training of users across the group.
20) Maintenance of internal IT asset register.
21) Provide weekly and monthly reports on developments, problems, and planned work within the IT environment.
Applicants must hold the relevant qualifications with BSc Computer Science or allied qualification with 5 years’ experience, with Microsoft Systems Administrator Certification.
Good knowledge of computer hardware, networking and routing, cyber security, Database principals, and systems administration experience.
