The role reports to the Chief Executive Officer
Our client seeks an experienced and strategic Group Human Resources Manager to lead the HR function and team across their agricultural group of companies. This is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for aligning people strategies with business objectives, driving organizational effectiveness, and fostering a performance-driven culture.
The successful candidate will be hands-on, proactive, and adept at working in a dynamic, diverse, and fast-paced agricultural environment which employs permanent and contract personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures across the group.
- Oversee recruitment, talent acquisition, and workforce planning to meet operational and seasonal demands.
- Lead performance management, learning & development, and succession planning initiatives.
- Drive employee engagement, motivation, and retention programs.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws, health & safety regulations, and company standards.
- Provide strategic guidance to senior management on HR matters and organizational development.
- Manage payroll, compensation & benefits, and ensure fair and competitive structures.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workforce.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across farms, processing plants, and corporate offices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 5 years at senior management level.
- Previous experience in agriculture, agribusiness, or manufacturing sectors is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of labour laws, employee relations, and HR best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
