We are privileged to assist our client in the search and selection of applicants to be considered for the role of Group Financial Director to be based at their Head Office. 

The group operates several well-known trade companies with respected brands. 

The Group Finance Director is responsible for financial planning, cash flow projections, budgeting, management information systems, financial reporting, internal and external audit, tax, group treasury activities, working capital management, business strategy execution & evaluation and stakeholder management.

You shall be well supported be a team of excellent financial practitioners in the various divisions. 

Tasks are at a senior level and include: 

  • Presenting and reporting accurate and timely financial information of the Group to the board and all related stakeholders.
  • Ensuring that internal controls and governance systems are in place, enforced, and reviewed periodically for conformance to accounting and financial standards and applicable regulations and good corporate governance.
  • Direct the finance department activities – provide leadership, training, and supervision with the Group.
  • Ensuring statutory and other regulatory returns are filed on time to relevant regulatory authorities.
  • Develop performance measures that supports the Group’s strategic direction
  • Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and be able to analyse and quickly identify factors affecting performance of business units and proposing solutions to rectify the issues identified in liaison with the heads of the businesses and Group CEO.
  • Analysing working capital positions of Group companies and proposing ways to close identified working capital gaps
  • Reviewing investment proposals where organic or acquisitive growth transactions are involved. 

The person must be a dynamic and 

  • Chartered Accountant – Articled Trained with a proven track record already operating at a senior level.
  • You must retain abilities in decision making, problem solving, analytical ability & good numeric skills including use of automated solutions.
  • Competencies in IFRS provisions & compliance, strategic and financial planning, budgeting, and monitoring thereof.
