General Manager – Power Solutions Company – Significant Player in Diesel Engine Power Supply and Solar energy systems

You will be responsible for running the SBU part of a larger group offering services in the power supply sector and managing its affairs. 

Your key result areas will inter-alia include:

  • Driving growth of the business through product and market development in line with company strategy
  • Managing key customers of the business and ensuring that their specific business requirements are met.
  • Managing the relationship with key stakeholders of the business.
  • Implementing operational strategies as per the company’s Strategic Business Plans and performance agreement.
  • Formulating and leading the budgetary process and ensuring that the targets are met and variances are explained.
  • Ensuring that the Company’s profit levels as well as cash levels are in line with the budget.
  • Adhering and following up on Board resolutions.
  • Ensuring that all staff are effectively employed and adequately trained to perform their responsibilities and operational tasks in an ethical and responsible manner.
  • Implementing a performance management system.
  • Ensuring that the products sold and service given to clients is of high quality in accordance with the company’s quality policies.
  • Ensuring that the company meets all its legal requirements, including those
  • relating to Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Attending management and stakeholder meetings as and when required and presenting relevant reports.
  • Attending and participating in EXCO meetings.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by HQ. 

Ideally you would be a qualified person in the power supply sector with exceptional knowledge of diesel generation power supply and more recently solar systems for large project. You should have a good technical appreciation – preferably with sales or marketing skills with a background in management.
