You shall be responsible for leading and running the Mine profitably with strategic planning, across mining, processing and all support services, and stakeholder engagement in a safe and a cost-effective manner to enhance shareholder value.
- Leading the mine and team in the execution of the annual plans, costs and budgets and execution.
- CAPEX proposals, evaluation of projects and implementation of exploration, mining, services, and processing projects.
- Leading the mine operation for profitability by maximizing on revenue generation and managing costs.
- Managing internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance to all SHE legislations in the operations.
- Manage safety ensuring that all on-site work complies with existing safety and other legislation and is in full compliance with HSE standards.
- Manage mine planning, services, open pit mining and hauling of materials site services, plant management and processing, and metallurgical activities required.
Applicants interest in this role should be in senior management or head of a department looking to advance their career further in a leadership role.
Candidates must hold the following qualifications and experience:
- BSc Degree – Mining or Metallurgy, or Mechanical or Geology
- MBA/MBL as an added advantage
- 15 years working experience – 10 years at senior level
- Strong leadership skills
- Experience in Diamonds sector would be an added advantage.
The remuneration package will be negotiated at the appropriate level.
