Financial Manager – Tourism – Arusha Tanzania – “Break away to the Tourism Sector ” 

This role would suit a person looking to experience an exciting challenge with the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of wildlife and tourism life as its best!

Our client is a regional and successful operator with business interests throughout Southern Africa. 

Camps in the Serengeti National Park are currently under construction whereby management ahead shall operate from Arusha City. The benefit of occasional travel to assist in financial operations management as the camps is expected.   

Arusha is a city in East Africa’s Tanzania, located at the base of volcanic Mt. Meru. It’s a gateway to safari destinations and to Africa’s highest peak, 5,895m Mt. Kilimanjaro, lying some 100 kilometres northeast. To the west lies Serengeti National Park, home to wildlife including lions, rhinoceros, giraffes and leopards. Annual migrations feature huge herds of wildebeests crossing its plains. A spectacular migration to experience and watch. 

It’s a bustling city filled with an interesting mix of markets, chaotic traffic, old colonial buildings and modern conveniences, coffee shops with Wi-Fi, and an array of great restaurants. The population is heading towards 500 000 persons! The people are friendly and warm in welcome. 

Arusha to Kilimanjaro airport is about 40kms whereby to Dar es Salaam it’s about 460kms. 

You must be a qualified Financial Manager – CA/ACCA or alike – completed full qualification required.

You must have the ability to set up a small accounting team and coach local junior accounts talent from scratch – but capable of handling the bulk of the finance work from A – Z.

This is not a sit in the seat role to direct staff. We seek a person – young and dynamic keen to work for a renowned and respects Tourism Group. You will report to the MD and FD at main HQ.

The role may suit a single person due to location but It’s not essential.
