Facilities and Procurement Officer

Our client is a leading security solutions provider with a national footprint of deployed personnel and operations. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Facilities and Procurement Officer to manage the upkeep of company premises and equipment, and to coordinate the procurement of goods and services across the organisation.

Job Purpose

To ensure the efficient management of company facilities, assets, and procurement processes, supporting smooth day-to-day operations through cost-effective purchasing, reliable supplier management, and well-maintained premises and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
– Coordinate procurement of goods, services, and equipment in line with company procurement policy and budget
– Source, evaluate, and manage relationships with suppliers and service providers; negotiate pricing and contract terms
– Maintain an up-to-date supplier database and preferred vendor list
– Process purchase requisitions, obtain quotations, raise purchase orders, and track deliveries
– Oversee maintenance and repair of company premises, offices, and depots (electrical, plumbing, structural, etc.)
– Manage service contracts (cleaning, security systems, generators, fire equipment, etc.) and ensure compliance/renewal deadlines are met
– Monitor and manage company assets, including inventory and asset registers
– Ensure facilities meet health, safety, and statutory compliance standards
– Manage fleet-related facilities where applicable (fuel, parking, servicing coordination)
– Prepare procurement and facilities reports for management
– Ensure value-for-money procurement while maintaining quality and service standards

Qualifications And Experience
– Diploma/Degree in Purchasing and Supply, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or related field
– Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a similar procurement/facilities role
– Experience in a security, logistics, or service-industry environment an added advantage

Key Competencies
– Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
– Good organisational and multitasking abilities
– Attention to detail and cost-consciousness
– Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word); experience with procurement/ERP systems an advantage
– Integrity and ability to handle confidential financial information
