This senior role reports to the Mining General Manager and leads a technical team to ensure the availability and reliability of fixed/mobile plant equipment for the opencast mine operation on a 24/7 basis. You be a competent leader to oversees the Engineering Department to always ensure professional care of assets of the Plant and Equipment in sustainable in a cost-effective way through a competent, motivated workforce. You must ensure compliance is always achieved to the relevant legal requirements and safety of the operation with all the plant equipment.
This role is demanding, critical and plays a pivotal role to ensure the mine operates effectively and efficiently.
You must be a qualified Mechanical Engineer with an excellent previous track record in the plant and equipment mine sector or heavy engineering works.
