Responsibilities:
- Carrying out breakdown troubleshooting and repairs
- Planned maintenance of all electrical equipment
- Inspecting plant equipment
- C motor maintenance
- Knowledge of AC/DC Drives
- AC motor maintenance
- Wiring of drives and starters
- Knowledge of induction furnace
- Knowledge of Extruders and transformers
- Training apprenticeships
Key Competences, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Troubleshooting skills and Root Cause Analysis
- Configuring & troubleshooting AC & DC drives
- Troubleshooting PLC-based machines (Simatic S5 & S7)
- Maintenance and failure analysis of both DC and AC motors
- Exposure to and a good understanding of induction furnaces
- Good report-writing skills
Qualifications
- National Diploma In Electrical Engineering
- 5 Years Post Apprenticeship Training
- 5 ‘O’Levels – Maths & English included – a must!
- Journeyman n Electrical Power Class 1
