Valcol Executive Appointments, a division of the Valcol Group is privileged to assist Unifreight in the search and selection of applicants to be considered for the role of Chief Operating Officer.
The COO joins as a key member of the senior management team, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
You are expected to maintain control of diverse business operations, from warehouses to a strong growing fleet of 250 vehicles with 800 employees at 36 depots nationwide.
We expect you to be an experienced, charismatic, and efficient leader.

The role is significant and important to the overall success of the operations and cover the following responsibilities,
- Cross Border Fleet
• Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures
• Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
• Establish policies that promote company culture and vision
• Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of the executive team
• Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication
• Evaluate performance by analysing and interpreting data and metrics
• Minimise KM/Asset at lowest CPK
• Ensure critical consumable supply chain is optimised
• Manage relationships with partners / vendors and others as required.
The role requires an operational person with:
• 10 Years’ Experience in Cross Border Fleet Management/Supply Chain/3PL
• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills
• Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
