Our client – a leading provider of reinsurance solutions is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill this position.
The incumbent will report directly to the Managing Director and will perform the following duties, among others.
- Develops and executes comprehensive business development strategies.
- Identifies and targets potential clients and markets, with the aim of expanding the Company’s customer base and achieving revenue growth.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships locally and regionally with potential and current key clients, brokers, and stakeholders.
- Provides tailored solutions to clients and ensures their satisfaction.
- Leads negotiations with potential clients, including contract terms, pricing, and service level agreements.
- Secures new business opportunities.
- Collaborates with legal and underwriting teams to ensure contract compliance and manage risks.
- Provides market intelligence and insights to internal teams, and pricing strategies, and stays abreast of market trends.
- Ensures a continuous cycle of review for improvement.
Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies
- A Degree in Insurance, Marketing, or a related field.
- Professional qualification in insurance.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience with at least 3 years at the management level.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
- Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on service delivery.
- Able to work under pressure and be a team player.
- Sound computer skills.
