Business Development Manager

Our client – in the Health sector, seeks to appoint a Business Development Manager. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position. 

Responsibilities:

  • Researches and identifies new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services – or new ways of reaching existing markets.
  • Acquires new business and provides continuous market trends and updates to the business.
  • Understand the needs of the clients and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet the needs.
  • Draws up Service Level Agreements for all onboard clients.
  • Understand the businesses’ products or services and be able to advise the market about them.
  • Keeping up to date with legislation and best practice.
  • Ensuring all client meetings are undertaken on time and to a high standard, preparing agendas, meeting notes, and appropriate action points are followed up.
  • Fosters and develops relationships with clients.
  • Attends seminars, conferences, and events where appropriate. 

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience. 

  • Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Risk Management and Insurance; Marketing; Business Administration or equivalent. Postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
  • A minimum of three years experience in business development, sales, or marketing preferably in Healthcare Consulting.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, time management, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly motivated with a desire to take advantage of new opportunities.
  • Computer literate and able to compile reports.
  • Highly analytical, possess good problem-solving skills, and good decision-making.
  • Possess a clean driver’s license.
