Our Client – a leading player in the Manufacturing and FMCG Industry, seeks to appoint a Brand Manager – An exciting opportunity to join a new Leadership Team!
Job Purpose
- Steward the brand to support the brand promise, vision, position, and architecture and achieve overall business goals.
- Engage, inspire and galvanize the organization around the brand vision, position and strategies, so they are clear in bringing them to life in their areas of functional expertise.
- Lead the global brand planning process by developing and executing the annual brand/marketing plan
- Develop growth targets, business objectives, and brand strategies for the brand that aligns with global business & marketing plans.
- Develop communication and promotional strategies, together with trade spending plans and media goals for the organization
- Execute packaging designs consistent with a determined communications hierarchy
- Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute innovation platform pathways, product innovation, and renovation.
- Conduct customer discovery and insights/pain points gathering to inform the design and development of brand strategies for the organization.
- Analyse consumer, channel, customer, and competitor trends and information to help identify product categories to enter as future sources of growth.
- Work with Commercial teams to identify and roll out programs to generate incremental sales and/or profitability.
- Manage budgets and financials related to marketing campaigns.
Educational Background, Skills & Experience
- 5 years of Brand Management experience in an FMCG environment
- A B-Com Marketing degree or equivalent; MBA will be an added advantage
- Good knowledge of all Marketing and branding concepts and trends
- Knowledge of marketing communication & brand health assessment techniques
- Knowledge of Digital Marketing trends & applications
- Excellent usage of MS packages (Word, PowerPoint, Excel & E-mail)
- Project Management
