Our client is a dynamic and growing player in the telecommunications sector is seeking a talented, results-driven IT Manager to lead their internal IT functions.
Job Purpose
To plan, coordinate, and oversee internal technology operations by evaluating business requirements and implementing robust hardware, software, and network solutions. You will drive operational efficiency, secure critical infrastructure, and align technology strategies with broader business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Operations
- Ensure the seamless and secure running of all internal IT systems, including core network infrastructure, billing systems, and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Manage the deployment, distribution, and lifecycle of IT hardware and end-user appliances across the organization.
- Oversee secure remote access solutions and regular security backups of critical company data.
Strategy, Budget & Projects
- Develop and execute the company’s IT strategy, roadmap, and annual departmental budget.
- Lead the deployment and integration of new technologies, ensuring comprehensive user training and adoption.
- Manage strategic relationships with external vendors and technology suppliers, negotiating competitive pricing to drive cost-effectiveness.
Support, Security & Governance
- Provide high-level technical support, advisory, and crisis management for complex hardware and software issues.
- Champion cyber security awareness and conduct regular end-user training sessions.
- Produce accurate performance, audit, and governance reports to meet internal and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications, Skills & Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or an equivalent relevant qualification.
- Professional certifications in key technologies (e.g., PMP, Cisco, Microsoft) will be a distinct advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar IT management or leadership role, preferably within telecommunications or a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Strong background in network administration, system integrations, and enterprise security.
