Our client is a well-established and highly respected manufacturing and retail organisation employing approximately 300 personnel. With an established market presence and an ongoing commitment to operational excellence, innovation and customer service, the company seeks to appoint an exceptional Managing Director.
The current Managing Director shall retire soon and a comprehensive handover period has been planned to ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities.
Reporting to the Shareholders, the successful candidate will assume full executive responsibility for the strategic direction, operational performance, and financial success of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide inspirational leadership to a workforce of approximately 300 employees.
- Develop and execute business strategies to achieve sustainable growth and increased profitability.
- Direct all aspects of the manufacturing operation, ensuring optimum productivity, quality standards, and operational efficiency with the factory manager
- Drive sales growth through effective leadership of the sales and marketing functions.
- Oversee financial management, budgeting, cash flow, reporting, and corporate governance with the finance head.
- Strengthen procurement and supply chain operations to maximise efficiencies and cost control.
- Foster outstanding customer relationships while maintaining the highest standards of service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and corporate governance requirements.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, financial institutions, and other key stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will be an accomplished person with a proven track record of successfully leading a medium sized manufacturing business.
Applicants should possess:
- A minimum of 5 years’ senior general management experience, preferably currently at general manager level below the age of 40 years in a private owned company.
- Extensive experience overseeing manufacturing, finance, sales, marketing, procurement, and customer service functions.
