Our client, a leading provider of engineering services to the mining, manufacturing, agriculture, construction, automotive, and fast emerging borehole drilling sectors, seeks a dynamic and seasoned Sales & Marketing Executive.

Role:

The ideal candidate will spearhead business growth, drive market expansion, and strengthen customer relationships across mining, agriculture, manufacturing, construction, automotive, and borehole drilling sectors. This role requires a self-driven leader with strong technical sales acumen, proven industry networks, and the ability to design and implement robust sales and marketing strategies. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Sales & Business Development

  • Drive revenue growth by identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities within target industries.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships with mines, contractors, OEMs, agricultural companies, and other key stakeholders.
  • Negotiate and close high-value contracts and tenders. 

Marketing Strategy & Execution

  • Design and execute marketing strategies that align with the company growth objectives.
  • Oversee branding, product positioning, and promotional activities (digital, print, exhibitions, trade shows).
  • Conduct competitor and market analysis to refine strategies. 

Client & Market Management

  • Maintain deep understanding of customer needs and industry trends.
  • Develop key account management systems and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Create and maintain a customer database with measurable sales pipeline metrics. 

Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Provide sales forecasts, market intelligence, and performance reports to management.
  • Train and mentor junior sales staff. 

Financial & Strategic Impact

  • Meet or exceed sales targets, gross margin expectations, and growth objectives.
  • Assist in setting pricing strategies and commercial terms to maximize profitability.
  • Develop innovative customer value propositions. 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Management, Engineering, Mining, or a related field
  • A postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent) is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in Sales & Marketing within mining supplies, engineering, or related industrial sectors.
  • Proven track record of business growth and delivering sales targets.
  • Experience dealing with large corporate clients, mines, and government departments is essential. 

Technical Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of mining consumables, engineering products, mechanical spares, or industrial equipment.
  • Understanding of the procurement processes within mining and industrial companies.
