The Payroll Loans Sales Manager is responsible for driving the growth of payroll-based lending products through a network of independent sales agents and brokers. This role involves recruiting, training, and managing external sales teams, building strategic relationships with payroll partners, from whom the loans may be used to purchase goods and services and ensuring high performance and compliance across the sales network

Key Responsibilities:

Agent & Broker Network Management

  • Recruit, onboard, and manage independent sales agents and brokers.
  • Develop training programs and sales toolkits to equip agents with product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Monitor agent performance and provide ongoing support and coaching.
  • Implement incentive structures to drive productivity and retention.

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute sales plans to meet payroll loan targets.
  • Identify and secure partnerships with employers for payroll loan access.
  • Coordinate field marketing activities and promotional campaigns.
  • Track sales performance and adjust strategies to optimize results.

Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with payroll partners and employer organizations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the institution and external sales teams.
  • Ensure excellent customer service standards are upheld across all touchpoints.

Compliance & Risk Oversight

  • Ensure agents and brokers operate within regulatory and institutional guidelines.
  • Monitor loan application quality and support credit risk mitigation efforts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve compliance issues and improve processes.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Prepare regular reports on agent performance, loan disbursements, and market trends.
  • Analyze data to identify growth opportunities and operational improvements.
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field.
  • 3–5 years’ experience in microfinance, or financial services.
  • Experience managing independent sales teams or agency networks is essential.
  • Familiarity with payroll lending models and employer engagement strategies.
