Our progressive organization, a key player in the Zimbabwean manufacturing industry is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Engineering Operations Executive to drive operational excellence and optimise manufacturing plant for sustained growth and efficiency.

Candidate between the ages of 35 and 45 with a strong engineering background in heavy manufacturing or mining, and extensive experience in end-to-end plant management.
The ideal candidate should have held senior managerial roles (such as GM or Factory Manager), worked for reputable organizations, and has a solid understanding of plant automation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute operational plans and strategies to achieve production targets, quality standards, and cost efficiencies.
- Oversee all aspects of the manufacturing process, ensuring optimal performance, minimizing downtime, and maximizing yield.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to stringent quality control measures throughout the production process.
- Implement and monitor cost-saving initiatives across all operational areas.
- Champion and enforce all safety regulations and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements and technological advancements.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Ideal candidates must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial preferred).
- A master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Significant senior-level experience (5+ years) within a heavy manufacturing environment
- Professional registration with the Zimbabwe Institution of Engineers (ZIE) is required.

- Demonstrable experience in implementing operational excellence methodologies.
- Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
