The following skills, abilities and duties are:
- Directing and coordinating client relationship activities involving investment classes.
- Developing a clear strategy for client acquisition and retention
- Responsible for establishing and strengthening relationships with key decision makers in pension funds, corporates and banks, brokers, and affinity leaders
- Managing internal and external client service levels.
- Monitoring customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts for both new and generic growth.
- Improving working procedures, processes productivity and training.
- Reviewing and controlling the departmental operating costs within the budget to control and reduce costs.
- Identifying new leads and potential new markets through research and high-level networking.
- Negotiating and making decisions on quotations with partners and clients.
- Advising senior management on maximizing business relationships where opportunities have been identified and developing market relevant products.
- Producing regular client reports detailing targets, acquisitions, and opportunities.
- Keeping abreast of product applications, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and market analysis.
- Developing creative and differentiated methods of business acquisition.
The Person:
A degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
- An MBA or Customer Relationship Management related qualification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience at management level with relevant experience in business development covering both Retention and New Business Acquisition
- Market research industry sales experience and knowledge of the financial services investment ecosystem is highly desirable
- Outstanding interpersonal skill set and passion for developing new business revenue and developing high level relationships
- Knowledge of asset management products and product development processes.
- Client relationship management skills
- Sound presentation and interpersonal skills.
