Our Client – Blue chip, in the Agriculture sector, is looking for a self-motivated person to fill the above position. 

Purpose:

The incumbent is responsible for recording, reporting, and analyzing financial information to support Management decision-making and implement accounting policies in line with Statutory and company guidelines. 

Key Result Areas:

  • Posts parked invoices and checks the accuracy and compliance of data integrity for all departments in SAP.
  • Checks ledger transactions for all cost centers for accuracy and compliance daily.
  • Prepares ledger reconciliations.
  • Reviews Balance Sheet & ledger accounts reconciliations prepared by the Assistant accountant and Accounts clerks.
  • Prepares departmental data and third-party income and budget annually and submits this to the Factory Finance Manager.
  • In conjunction with the Factory Finance Manager consolidates the above budgets into the Conversion Cost Report and prepare a commentary for each department.
  • Receives analyses and reviews CAPEX requirements from all departments and submits to the Factory Finance Manager.
  • Analyses variances between actual and budget departmental expenses monthly and submits with commentary to the Factory Finance Manager.
  • Prepares monthly management reports and variance analyses for submission to the Factory Finance Manager and Departmental Heads.
  • Prepares and provides commentary for re-forecasts of departmental expenses on a monthly basis.
  • Prepares post-capitalization assessments on prior years’ capex projects as instructed by Factory Finance Manager.
  • Ensure the monthly Working Capital Projection reports are prepared on a monthly basis.
  • Prepares cost bases and other financial information to be used for Strategic planning purposes.
  • Prepares ‘ad hoc’ reports (e.g. but not limited to processing costs analysis for processing for Third Party Customers) in response to specific circumstances and submits these to the Factory Finance Manager for approval;
  • Check inventory count plans and procedures prepared by Assistant Accountant and supervise stock counts, identifies anomalies, and recommend appropriate action to the Factory Finance Manager.
  • Check and follow up on inventory variance reports and reconciliations for submission Factory Finance Manager. 

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • Degree in Bachelor of Accounting or similar
  • 4 to 6 years’ experience in financial and management accounting, costing, and taxation
  • Knowledge of Financial Systems Applications (SAP) and Financial management and control
  • Finance analysis and reporting skills.
  • Team leadership, interpersonal skills, and result orientated.
  • Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants/CIMA/ACCA/CIS
